The 18-acre campus at Ardmore Village is available for residents to enjoy. It is a serene atmosphere of caring in a community setting.

For a person to be eligible for residency in Ardmore Village’s independent living cottages:

If a person meets this income limit but is younger than 62, that person may still be eligible for residency, but only if they qualify as handicapped or disabled under the definition of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). At this time, the only disability Ardmore Village can accommodate is a person with a mobility disability.

Once you have completed and signed an application, you will be placed on the waiting list of your choice – for either the cottages or apartments.

Benefits of Cottage Living

Many seniors come to the Cottages at Ardmore Village when their long-time homes have become too large for current needs and it’s desirable to slow down the pace of life. Seniors at the Cottage are as independent at Ardmore Village as they were previously but now they are part of a community of people aged 62 and up, which has its advantages.

There is little to no maintenance to deal with at Ardmore Village, allowing for the type of freedom most people look forward to in their retirement years. All of the Cottages at Ardmore Village come with a private patio, making it possible to enjoy a private outdoor area yet with yard work taken care of. There is also the opportunity, however, to create and care for container gardens as lavish as a resident may desire.

It’s easier for seniors to stay active when they have escaped their former isolation and get in on the calendar activities designed to keep residents engaged with life. Staying active physically and mentally contributes to quality of life and can drive the blues away.

In other phases of life, raising a family and working keeps us connected to groups, family members, and communities. Ardmore Village does that for residents at the Cottages, the Townhomes, the Apartments, and also The Lodge, which is the facility for residents in need of assisted-living services. Kitchens include a refrigerator, stove, and garbage disposal. The bathroom includes a tub/shower combination and large storage closet. A personal outdoor patio is provided off the living area. The bedroom and bathroom are equipped with emergency pull cords. Residents at Ardmore Village enjoy calling the Cottages home.
